A note from our founder, Matthew Johnston, CEO-

The collection industry as a whole has been a very comfortable home for me over the years. During which, I’ve learned a great deal from my colleagues, superiors, subordinates, and even the debtors themselves. One thing I’ve learned is that to capitalize on your opportunity for recovery in this industry it takes one thing, leverage. Now, analytic prioritization methods share a symbiotic importance since leverage truly proves effective should it be directed towards the “sweet spot”, this of course being the definitive method/tactic used where the leverage is the catalyst towards recovery. This leverage applied to the debtor may stem from a collector’s strategic talk-off, it may stem from the demand letter, it may stem from a law suit being dropped at their feet. With all of these possibilities, what happens when nothing works? What do you do when you’ve obtained a judgment and it still did not turn into dollar signs? For seasoned debtors, they are used to saying “No.”, and even worse, they are professionals at it. They say “No.” through ignored calls, ignored letters, missed payment schedules, and sometimes through colorful expletives to our collectors as I’m sure we’ve all experienced. Regardless of their denial method, their reaches a point in the life of most collection accounts where the only reasonable resolve is to leverage something important to the debtor. Leveraging something near and dear to them will cause you to have their full attention and even better, their cooperation. When a garnishment removes a portion of their hard-earned income, it is amazing how quick they will call to settle or make arrangements. I started in this industry to provide a cost effective channel of communication with legal recovery providers looking for “professional” debtors’ assets to leverage their position because the idea makes sense. Much more sense than the idea of hiring an army of skip tracers internally and taking on that burden of costs associated with permanent staffing.

Our company is networked nationally with data providers each with their own cutting-edge methods, all exercised in the legal limits of the GLB, FCRA, as well as federal and state law. TraceData, Inc. is able to buy down internally the cost of employment data through massive volume, we can in turn offer data to all of our clients at a much lower cost to organizations that do not have the volume themselves to substantiate such a discount directly with a vendor. Furthermore, we are able to customize data exchange formatting to best fit software requirements, at no charge. We want to make partnering with our company as easy for our clients as possible.

Most competitors of ours require a cost-risk commitment right away from clients, placement fees per account (with no guarantee of results), volume agreements, and specific request formatting. TraceData, Inc. could not disagree with those methods of business more. We want to create collection partnerships with organizations that share the perspective of mutual benefiting arrangements that best fit their recovery model. This includes offering discounts to volumes of all sizes, guaranteeing our data, and billing only when accurate results have been delivered. TraceData, Inc. can offer low prices to clients that are much harder to ascertain in the current marketplace, every collection organization should be of interest.

The costs expended for ascertaining debtor asset information, in most cases on the organization’s dime, have to account for something, namely - recovery. If an investment is made in outsourcing skip tracing efforts, then the ROI will only realize when the data proves to be accurate and is capitalized on through proper usage/collection procedure. If the data is not accurate, the ROI will never be realized and even if it is accurate, the ROI will not be realized as quickly without a lower initial investment i.e. cheaper cost.

TraceData, Inc. is ready to customize its products and services to best fit your recovery model, contact myself or my office and let's work together.
